Kuala Lumpur – Even after they are gone, the kindness of two Malaysian women continues to touch lives — showing that true legacy is not measured by the wealth one leaves behind, but by how that wealth uplifts others.
Their names were not known to many: Helen, a businesswoman from Johor Bahru, and an anonymous benefactor remembered only as Madam W. Yet through careful estate planning and the appointment of capable executors, both women ensured that their life’s work would continue to benefit fellow Malaysians in need. Their stories highlight how thoughtful planning can transform personal success into shared hope — extending love beyond family to those who need it most.
Helen’s Story: Thoughtful Planning That Became Lifesaving Support
When Helen passed away in December 2024, she left behind a well-considered estate plan through the Helen Trust, set up by Rockwills Trustee Berhad. Known for her compassion — even towards her two beloved dogs — Helen wished for her wealth to support friends, charities, and individuals in need.
Helen had instructed that a dialysis centre be chosen to receive a charitable gift from her trust. In fulfilling this instruction, and in carrying out their fiduciary duty as trustee, Rockwills Trustee Berhad identified the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Malaysia as the selected organization.
For this calendar year, Rockwills Trustee Berhad is honoured to be able to distribute RM 436,762.03 as donation on behalf of the Helen Trust to National Kidney Foundation.
National Kidney Foundation will in turn channel the donations nationwide to fund the dialysis treatments of 35 patients who are in dire need of financial assistance.
Madam W’s Legacy: A Quiet Blessing for Children Across Malaysia
More than a decade after her passing, the compassion of an anonymous benefactor known only as Madam W continues to touch lives. Through her trust, 20 orphanages across Malaysia will each receive more than RM9,000.00 this year, an increase from previous years, giving children a fairer chance at a brighter future.
Her legacy extends to Sabah - with four of its orphanages being recipients among out of total 20 homes supported nationwide.

Madam W’s foresight in setting up this trust has allowed her kindness to continue supporting orphanages across Malaysia, including in her home state of Sabah. As the appointed trust company, Rockwills Trustee Berhad ensures that her wishes are faithfully carried out.
Since 2013, Rockwills Trustee Berhad has distributed over RM1 million from Madam W’s trust to orphanages nationwide. Her story stands as a powerful reminder of how setting up a trust for charitable purposes can transform lives not just for today, but for generations to come.
